For those unable to attend in person, the concert was also live-streamed via Zoom, ensuring everyone had the chance to enjoy the students' hard work and talent.
The program showcased the incredible progress and dedication of the Woodland Middle School bands under the skilled leadership of directors Matthew Dickler and Yolanda Bennett. Having only started their musical journey in August, these young musicians performed pieces that highlighted the notes and techniques they’ve mastered so far. Their enthusiasm and budding skills impressed the audience, setting a celebratory tone for the event.
Adding to the charm of the afternoon, the concert featured a piano duet that mesmerized attendees with its melodic interplay.
The 7th and 8th Grade Combined Band, under the direction of Ms. Bennett, followed with a set of more complex holiday arrangements, including the timeless favorite “Sleigh Ride.” Their polished performance demonstrated the growth and camaraderie of these experienced students, earning resounding applause from the audience.
To close the event, a talented student vocalist delivered a stunning finale, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
