Last Friday, Woodland High School held its 2nd Quarter Awards Program and Renaissance Rally. Originally postponed due to snow, the highly anticipated event still went on as planned, bringing excitement and entertainment to the students.
One of the highlights of the day was a performance by renowned hypnotist and comedian Johnny Peyton. As one of America’s top comedy stage hypnotists, Peyton has been perfecting his craft for over 25 years, with performances across the country, including Las Vegas. A Marquis Who’s Who 2024 Honored Listee, Peyton’s comedy hypnosis shows have entertained thousands and are popular at high school events, fundraisers, corporate parties, and more.
Students who qualified for the celebration demonstrated both academic success and good behavior, requiring a 78 or higher in all classes for the 1st quarter and no disciplinary referrals resulting in ISS or OSS. Those in attendance had a blast watching their peers take part in Peyton’s hilarious hypnosis activities, where volunteers engaged in amusing and mind-boggling skits.
Johnny Peyton’s show is designed to be interactive, high-energy, and family-friendly, ensuring both the participants on stage and the audience have an unforgettable experience. From the moment he arrived, Peyton engaged the crowd with demonstrations of the fascinating phenomenon of hypnosis. Volunteers who joined him on stage quickly fell into a trance, leading to moments of awe and laughter as they followed his humorous suggestions.
The performance lasted nearly an hour, keeping students and staff entertained from start to finish. Students and staff left the event talking about the show, making it a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
Woodland High School’s Renaissance Rally was once again a success, celebrating students’ hard work while providing a unique and exciting form of entertainment.
