Chalita Johnson

Dorchester School District Four is proud to announce that Ms. Chalita Johnson of Clay Hill Elementary School has been selected as one of its April 2025 Everyday Hero recipients.

Ms. Johnson, who serves as the school’s Administrative Assistant and receptionist, was nominated by Principal Alisa Lemon for the warmth, professionalism, and dedication she brings to the front office each day. “Chalita sets the tone with her warm smile and welcoming presence,” Lemon said. “Her ability to stay calm under pressure and handle tough situations with grace makes her an invaluable part of our team.”

Ms. Johnson ensures the front office runs smoothly and efficiently, managing calls, visitors, and messages with precision and care. She also goes far beyond her job description by supporting discipline matters, assisting students with academic tasks, and helping maintain a positive and respectful school environment.

“Her calm and steady spirit provides reassurance to students and staff alike,” Lemon shared. “She’s not just a colleague, but a trusted anchor in our school community.”

She will be officially recognized on April 23, 2025, and will receive a certificate of appreciation and the Superintendent’s Coin, symbols of the district’s appreciation for her remarkable service.
