On Wednesday, October 30th, the Woodland Middle School Wolves faced off against the James Island Middle School Trojans in an intense playoff game that ended with a score of 12-54. Despite the tough loss, the Wolves held their heads high and kept the team spirit strong on the field.
The game began with an exciting touchdown from #80 Zah’den Simmons. Additionally, #11 Jhailen Herrin stood out by making three tackles and catching an interception, showcasing great defensive skills. #12 Jaxson Clifford was also a key player, making two tackles, intercepting the ball, running about 30 yards, and scoring a memorable 42-yard touchdown. #9 Jet Riley and #15 Cooper Chavis demonstrated teamwork by working together on an assisted tackle, while #9 Jet Riley also added to the defensive stats with three tackles. #7 Mason Johnson made an impact with two tackles and an impressive kick return catch. #32 Aiden Bauerle contributed two solid tackles, and #40 Sir’mani Grampus caught a crucial pass. Lastly, #8 Joel Jamison carried the ball for a remarkable 45 yards, showcasing his speed.
Although the Wolves didn’t bring home the win, their determination and teamwork were outstanding and memorable. Each player brought their best to the field, and their performances will be remembered. Special thanks to Coach Harrison, Coach Martin, Coach Han, and Coach Marvel for guiding these boys through such a special season. Overall, Dorchester District 4 is extremely proud of the success of the 2024 B-team, and we’re excited to see what next year brings. #WolvesOut!
